For some reason Dena Higley has decided to compromise the characters we’ve come to love and sacrifice their story once again. Lately we keep asking the question why won't they tell this story? Why has it been over a year of sacrificing their characters to tell other stories instead of their own? We WANT John and Evangeline back together! How is it that last year at the fan luncheon this couple was voted favorites by the OLTL fans? How is it that both received pre-Emmy noms from their colleagues? How is it that Renee received an Emmy nomination for work she submitted that represented her best work with her co-star Michael Easton? How is it that Michael Easton submitted the same clips as representation of their best work? And after all of this, why is their story not being told? Why are they not being showcased? Why during this year does Dena Higley continue to compromise the integrity of these characters? Why will she not acknowledge their history? Why will she not honor what so many viewers want so much to see, not to mention the hard work that both Renee Elise Goldsberry and Michael Easton have put into their portrayals?
We want to send a very loud and very clear signal to all of the people making these decisions. We want to tell them in no uncertain terms that WE WILL NOT FORGET! We know what we witnessed. We know how it made us feel. We don't like seeing our favorites used as plot points to push along Higley's agenda. We want our story! We know that there is no good reason why this story shouldn't be written well and told.
